About THE CANNY BROTHERS BAND

In response to the scarcity of live Irish music in their local Brooklyn neighbourhood, a group of Irish-American musicians came together to form The Canny Brothers Band. From that simple concept the group has grown over the years to become one of the premier Irish bands on the New York City music scene. The band regularly plays festivals, parties, and pubs in the tri-state area, but especially enjoys playing East Durham Memorial Day Irish Festival in the Catskills and the Great Irish Fair in Coney Island. They have released three well-reviewed albums, including original material, that have gotten national radio airplay and international notice. The band’s mission is to keep Irish songs and culture alive - and to celebrate their Brooklyn roots.
